That is what the article said in the paper. Didnt get specific, but did indicate that he wasnt giving up his teaching job. But he did say that he would be coaching in some capacity. Kind of confusing when one really thinks about it.

schools can pretty much do what they want to do...as long as the A.D., Principal, and Superintendent all agree, they can hire someone on the spot this is really more efficient than having a panel that includes people who have no clue about football (teachers, community leaders, school board members...

And I said traditional football school. Despite the recent success of Chapman it isn't a traditional power yet and it's 3A. Read my words. .... They asked Porter to apply for the job and he did. So why would he apply at Chapman anyways? He doesn't want to be there. Chapman is done. Waste of time to...

Dont know what type of relationship he has with his players, but according to him, he is "only a call away", and will still be teaching at the school. Unless they hire from staff, that should be a comforting situation for a new coach.

The annual rumor that Jones is hanging it up at Gaffney seems to be a little stronger this year, but we will see. Have heard smatterings for a while that Miller was going to retire at Spartanburg. But who knows. Last couple of years haven't gone well for them. He may not want to go out on that note....

Probably a little early for that. Seems like even in situations where it seems like a foregone conclusion that many wait until playoffs are over.

I guess you have to find a way to do it with consideration to travel, but some teams are already handicapped just by the sheer size of their Region. Not very competitive anyway. If in a smaller region they would have a chance to schedule some winnable OOC games that would at least not make the seaso...

Very little on that site at this time. Think there was one job posting. Most of the posts are schools looking to fill schedules for next year.
