Re: A tip of the hat to Clover

DITTO from another Dorman supporter. 1: Great atmosphere. Loved the RIC FLAIR WHOO! After the first downs. 2: Best High School game I have been to since I saw Byrnes play St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale many years ago. It reminded me a lot of that game. There would be a great play and you thin...

Re: Spartanburg-Boiling Springs

Spartanburg does not have the athletes. Wasn't at the BS game but I was at Dorman/SHS. Can't coach speed/size. Could have been coaching at BS game Friday night.

Some observations from the BeatDown at SHS last night

1) New Stadium is awesome. The size is perfect. Very rare you get more the 2 large groups like us a year. I saw very little logistical issues around the stadium. 2) That game was not as close as the score may have indicated(yeah it could have been worse): Spartan High doesn't have near the athletes ...

Re: NATION FORD 20 SPARTYBURG 6......

Bonds have always been used to finance long term public contruction projects. That wasn't the issue here. Seems like the overall project which was more than just the school was $185 million. While clearly the new school was needed(no one is arguing that point); they are betting the tax base holds VE...

Re: NATION FORD 20 SPARTYBURG 6......

What Dave is saying but not saying....The people of the East side of town decided that wanted something like the "U"....that would be Dorman HIgh School. The old Dorman high School(for you out of towners) used to sit on an area that is now home to Walmart/Home Depot and many other major stores and r...

Final Thoughts from the D1 Championship Today

Fort D clearly the better team. Dorman did not help their cause by the turnovers but in the end they were the better squad. Very impressed with their overall performance. They were as adverstised. Take advantage of turnovers. Going to score a ton of points and you just try to keep up. No way any oth...

WHY THE BRACKETS ARE CORRECT!!!

Yes, the lower bracket (D1) clearly has the toughest road to Columbia. There are many that would argue that having Byrnes, Dorman, and Dutch Fork seeded in the playoffs is NOT an accurate picture of how these teams should be seeded. You have to give you region champions and runner up's their due pro...

Re: Projections as of Nov 2

Thanks to everyone who get this info together.....Pretty crazy that a 3A playoff game could factor into the D1 Playoffs....if I read you guys correctly you are saying the CC thing "COULD" push Spartan High into the D1 bracket.....looks like that might push Dorman into the UPPER BRACKET....avoiding B...
