I agree with you justafan… Sumter is a legit contender to win lowerstate in 5a. I don’t think anyone beats DF this year. Seen them twice this season in person and all I can say is geez.

96 will be alright. Good teams run in 4-5 year cycles there. Saluda is my pick to win state this year anyhow.

We all know Abbeville walks the dog on all teams in 1A. They could beat most teams in the state, regardless of size.

Think about the 2015 season. Same thing happened with flooding in the Conway/Myrtle Beach area. You can’t help Mother Nature, but having the season extended at the end hurts a lot of teams getting ready for the playoffs. Perfect fit for the Smith guy from Fort D. He got screwballed down there and I hear has applied at Laurens. He from the Upstate, so he got connections. He should have got the Mauldin job (my home team) last year. Just my 2 cents worth.
