We have lost four qbs in the last three years. Jake is in Bama, two are SHS and the other is at Boiling Springs.
yes I wasn't counting Jake who is having an amazing year by tbe way.or scott who left with his dad too shs.i was talking about what we had when lane came in! I know streeter got in a little trouble but he looked good the other night and enos who is a so.and looked really good in 9th grade.

I only know of the backup, Bernard. Seems decent, just having seen much of him.

Yeah, we have to be a little dry at that position. We have lost 3 D1 qbs in the last 3 years.

Hmm was that sack on you 77, 71, 58, 62, 51 with a resounding no out of 12 SACKS 5 were given up by the O Line really 4 the kid lost his footing in the mud. Lane said he was tired of everyone bashing the Offensive Line and if he had to make it public he would. You can sit back in a pocket for that long and not expect something. Are RB'S ran the ball right up the middle all night long gashing the Vikings Mighty Defense. Receivers have got to get open and other have to field their blocks. The play calling could have been a ton better. Minus the sack yardage our running game would have had a ton of positive yardage. I've watched the film atleast 9 times plus the Touchdown ruled as a fumble maybe over a 100 times he was IN. This wasn't Byrnes Football by no means,, discipline needs to be seen to, but this season isn't over. I hope and pray other teams do think this is the way the Rebels come out the rest of the remaining games because the joke will be on them. BTW it's about time this board got lit up. Proud to be over here.
the 12 sacks were the fault of the Byrnes rebels football team as this is a team sport, not the O-line, backs, or receivers. The offense could do nothing with the Vikings' defense. As far as the rushing total being decreased by the sacks, SHS rushed for 139 yds vs. 32 yds for the Rebels. So I do not understand where the statement "Are RB'S ran the ball right up the middle all night long gashing the Vikings Mighty Defense" comes from? Sounds like the rebs are proud of that 32 yards. :D Also, just curious as to where you are watching this game film from? Lets say that it was a TD and SHS' was a TD on the early whistle 4th down. That makes the score 24-14. So the Rebels still needed a lot of help in a short time.

Cocky62 It is good to have some good spirited Clean talk. Glad to be here too.
Sack yards are considered RUSHING YARDAGE loss. The Byrnes running backs were running right up the middle all night for 6 and 8 yards a pop. When they hit the outside they were gone. We had a 70 yd run called back for a block in the back. I love talking good football to 42. I have one more qualm... To say if the filed was in better shape Spartanburg would have ran it up is crazy. Did you see Austin Scott's uniform? It was doo doo brown from head to toe. How many sacks and hurries did the Vikes give up?
True, sack yardage is considered rushing yardage, but I didn't think that 12 sacks would erase 100 yards (SHJ has Young -25) as that was the difference (not including the sacks Scott took(SHJ has -1)). The Rebs did not have 100 yds rushing for the game. Of course you can not count the 70 yd run as it was aided from the block in the back, so it never happened. As far as the field, it was a mess, especially in the middle. Yes Austin was doo doo brown as you mention, as was the Byrnes QB. Feaster had 127 yds and was slowed because he could not make cuts in the mud. I just feel that he would have been far more effective than 127 yrd rushing as well as his receiving numbers.

I'm no statistician or in that ball park..lol. We ran the ball right up the gut many many times for 6 and 8 yds a pop and hit the outsides with good runs several times. Hell it could've been penalty wise taken off I do know, I can't find the spreadsheet but I will get Randy to give me the numbers this evening he's good about having them. Another thing that is puzzling me is that you say that Spartanburg would've ran wild on a good filed? And what make you think the Rebels wouldn't? We scored 3 tds within less than a minute on a good field vs MC. Y'all have great athletes and Coaches, but so do we. There is no doubt in my mind if we were to see you again you would be like OS what the hell. Calling a game to Thursday night hurt us and it might have hurt yall a little to, but yall won and get the congratulations. We have alot of football left to play and a State Championship gleam in our eyes. The loss to Spartanburg opened alot of eyes and a bunch of change are happening.. so it was best that we did lose because maybe we can regain focus towards the rest of the season.

It is not that I am saying that we would have run wild per say. I feel as both teams would have equally performed better. With that said, proportionally, the stats would increase SHS' stats more than Byrnes' (295 yds x 1.5= 442.5 Vikings, 195 yds x 1.5= 292.5 Byrnes, (1.5 is hypothetical factor but equal for both teams since they both were playing under the same conditions)). You cant really compare SHS to MC because the two haven't played, but SHS is ranked higher than MC currently as Byrnes beat them and SHS defeated Byrnes. I don't see how moving the game to Thursday benefited one team over the other as they both were caught off guard. At least the Rebels ha home field.
Anyways, thanks for the congrats. I am sure both teams will be in Columbia on 12/5. I don't see anyone stopping either unless Northwestern crosses someone's path (barring injuries).

You said it "I" didn't.... NW eeeesh. Those cats are not the team anyone would try and mess around with at this point. I do think they maybe just maybe catch a team in Region play on a particular Friday night that has their #. Never know we shall see.
