AR has definitely done well, and it doesn't matter whether you win by 1 or 50 a win is a win - I was just pointing out the numbers because it was interesting and added to the pre-game debate. Throw numbers out the window once players step on the field. If AR has shown anything this year it's that they have a lot of fight and don't give up when there is adversity in a game. I definitely think all these close games build confidence and experience and it will be a big factor in a tight game in the postseason.

dfactor I agree with your numbers and have even said many times this year that AR has played with fire. The difference between this year team and teams of the past is this team seems to pull for each other. I don't see the players arguing with each other when things are down, I see the players picking each other up and staying positive. I keep saying if AR keeps playing with fire it will catch up to them against a good team and with Summerville and Ft. coming up I get nervous. AR can't give Ft. or Summerville a lead and think the same thing will continue to happen, if so AR will get blown out.
I have not been to all the games like last year but I will say the QB is probably one of the biggest cheerleaders/motivators/fiery kids on the team. I have seen him get on others when needed and I have seen him pick someone up when a bad play is made. I watched him at the CC game and they were down 14-3 with 10 minutes to go and I kept hearing him tell everyone on the sideline believe and it will happen, I heard him telling the Defense to keep bailing them out and they will win. I see other kids taking his lead and cheering. I have seen this coaching staff really gel and I hope they can stay together for a while. The DC is way better than the DC we had the last few years and the OC isn't so predictable as the one we had. The HC seems to finally be able to be the manager of the team. I know that a lot of other players get more press and higher rated then the QB we have, but I will say this too, if he isn't the QB last year or this year we might have won 4 or 5 games both years combined. The other thing is we do have a pretty good RB that surprised me and has helped out. This year our defense might not be great but they have really improved. I was around when AR was 10-4 and made it to the semi's and I will say this year has probably been the best coaching job of the last 6 years. Next year will really be the year to see how they coach because AR loses the QB (But rumor is his little brother may be better then he is when all said and done some say he could start or get a lot playing time as a freshman) and I think lose 2 OL and a lot off defense. This year was rebuilding next year will be a whole face lift. But I will enjoy this year and say it has been a very good year and I hope that it doesn't end any time soon

We scored 7 points on offense last week with a week of prep.I just can't go with our current staff for the win.d was a little better but I believe when JM and long time defensive coach left ......you know.offense has been a train wreck. We can and have been brilliant on o at times.mostly not.our d is at a disadvantage with a passing team.especially with a new England style offense.short you till you come up then slant with a streamer long.hopefully Ku can put the smack down on Duncan.no injuries but plow him repeatedly.can't let him be comfortable. I'd even take a 15 yarder to get in his head.him thinking of getting hit more than the play will decide this one.football is a violent sport we need to bring the violence.

I was set to come on here and pick Summerville to win this week against AR, but it has been a brutal 2 days of practice for The Ville from what I am hearing. Six injuries to starters this week alone, not to mention the guys we were missing last week probably wont be back. We were just getting things going in the right direction and it just looks like bad luck is going to do us in. AR is undefeated and deserve recognition for having a great year, but I do not think they are a contender. The QB Duncan is a really good player and I think still underrated by most people in the state, but I don't think they are as good as their record indicates. That being said even at full strength they may have beat us, but as diminished as we are by injuries we probably have no shot

That's not good to hear.
The head count was already dropping.
This program will need life support to finish the year.
And unless the administration takes the bull by the horns when the season ends it could be years to get the program back on track.
I just don't have that warm and fuzzy that this crew can get it done.
