That is the matchup most everyone expects and most everyone hopes for.

ON PAPER, it would appear that these two are on a collision course to Columbia.

That being said, the games still have to be played!

Laurens has two 1000 yard rushers in the back field. The Trojan front 4 may be tested.

Woodside, VA ran the most on us. They were a very skilled wing t option rushing offense. Other than that, pretty much nobody has had success running on this defense. Passing....well....that is something else.

Can Laurens pass on NW? If they can, they could win. If they cannot. Lights out.

The bigger question is can Laurens' defense stop the NW offense....which has gotten more and more balanced rushing/passing as the year has progressed.

Agree!! I would like to see Jerry Howard get 100+ and Maloney throw for 300, Oh yea and score more than the other guys!!

I said at the beginning of the football season, I would like to see the states, top two running-backs, Fester and Howard go at it,to see who will get the most rushing yards, looks like I might get my wish. Northwestern will have to shut down Spartanburgs running back, and quarterback trio,to have a chance at the state title, that will be the true test, for them against the running game offense.
