to be honest if our qb doesnt get hurt yall win that game.we wouldnt have passed the ball.we have two 6 5 recievers number 10 is also.a lot prefer he would start anyway.
our play calling sucks as you saw.we ran the same running play 11 times that didnt work.
we used our power back as a speed back and our speed guy as a power back.
yall have great lbackers.

Thanks bbrown. I agree that we had two very similar teams. I also agree with wavefan that we would likely have lost that game with our starting QB. We have great receivers but have rarely got them the ball. #5 who I don't think has stepped on the field all year at QB comes in and throws beautiful pass after beautiful pass, two of which were TD passes to Shaq. Bennett is a very gifted runner and would likely make a great RB or receiver. It really makes you wonder what our coaching staff is doing. We have one week to prepare for DF. Hopefully our receivers will be a part of the game plan. Oh and did I mention that two are 6'5"????

One of the reasons we were so successful on defense this year was our DBs were good enough to play a lot of man cover zero, which usually meant 7-8 players in the box to stop the run, but our DBs are only around 5’9. We did play some cover 2 mainly in the first half and were successful in doing so, but it’s not a base defense of ours. 80% of the game was a cover 1 or cover zero look.if y’all would have threw it 25 times, especially to #15 or #10, y’all would have beat us by at least 4 touchdowns.

As for Dutch Fork, they stay in a 2 high safety look, but are very good at stopping the run. The mid range passing game will be there, but you’re going to need some deep routes to open it up. As for DF offensively, they don’t run up the middle...it’s almost always off tackle, but they got some burners for receivers. They will chuck it and let their receivers run after it. They are pretty balanced offensively. I know probably half the team from coaching them in rec ball in football or basketball.

Thanks for the info bbrown. I know we are going to have our hands full with DF but look forward to the game. I do believe we will have a more balanced attack with Banks at qb for Summerville which will give us a better chance at the upset.
