Region Championship Tiebreaker Question?

Post by Dorman#1 »

Seeing as how Dorman took its first loss last night against Gaffney. Let’s run a hypothetical, if Dorman beats Byrnes next week, that means there would be a 3 way tie for Region II 5A. My question is how would the tiebreaker work?

I will Email some people that should know the first part of next week.
Last year, one portion of the tiebreakers (In Dorman, Byrnes, and Gaffney's region) was score at the end of the 3rd quarter among tied teams.
But with the new realignment, they may have voted on new tiebreakers for this year?
Will Email and try to find out.

I'm still surprised that each region gets to make up their own rules.

I am surprised they made any rules at all.

I heard from who I consider a reliable source that the three way tiebreaker for Region 2 was extended to points allowed between the three tied teams points allowed during the entire game and not just three quarters.

Byrnes to score 15+ and Dorman to score 20+. We need Dorman to win.
