I do believe that there will be some, but it will mostly be the ones that their parents fall into the the middle class or the upper class financially, but I believe that the special hard core athletes that have that hunger to be something great that have parents that fall into the lower class financially, or don't even have parents will stay with the Public Schools. I am hoping that South Pointe will put Legion Academy on their schedule to play after Legion builds their elite Football team.

I am not sure of the exact fees but if you use Gray Collegiate as an example you are only talking $200. I realize this will deter a few people as will just the fact that some want to stay loyal to their current high school. Its definitely not for everyone but the fact that you are receiving dual credit courses only enhances your value in college terms. I hear Northwestern is losing a fair amount of students which is going to hurt the athletic program overall but I am unsure how many will be football players. I wouldn't think you would see many rising juniors or seniors leave but it will be interesting to see the impact in a couple of years. South Pointe's biggest issue is it is zoned with Legion so after this initial year it will be the main target. Those 600 students are coming from somewhere.

The 600 student limit will help to keep the impact on the athletic talent in the public schools in York County to a minimum. Also Richburg and Edgmoor are fixing to see a lot of growth (NEXT COMMUTER TOWN BUILD UP TO CHARLOTTE) with plans to build 600 homes off highway 901 just a few miles down the road from Legion Academy.
