They have a new head coach as the old one is now at Easley SC making The Upstate Greenwave nasty!! Watch out region 1!!!! Havelock averaged 56 points per game last year and lost to a region foe in 2nd round I believe...and gave up 21 per game.

So it should be a very entertaining game...Hows Dillon look this year Dillon posters?
And where can NEWCAT find some good BBQ before the game?
Thanks in advance
Havelock lost in the Eastern Finals, not the 2nd round, to conference foe, Jacksonville. Havelock had a 3 TD lead at halftime but lost their star RB and the game went off the rails.

Havelock lost in the title game in 2014, not 2015 and it was against Crest, not Charlotte Catholic. They did however lose in the title game in 2017 to Catholic.

Would be very surprised if Havelock loses by 3 scores. Should be a good one.

Ok...I got a few dates mixed up but my point was Havelock is in somewhat of a dynasty mode and yes I agree Havelock does NOT lose by 21 pts..it will be a 1 score game at the end...maybe whoever has the pig last!!

Sounds as if Havelock has as much a reputation in 3A as Mallard Creek does in 4A.
How have they looked in their scrimmages thus far?
If it’s any indication from the Mallard Creek games, it should be a good one in Dillon.

Dillon might be too physical defensively but Havelock does have a good offense coming back as does Dillon. It will definitely depend on which defense steps up the most.

Remember...Havelock is my alma mater...so I want both teams to win which won’t happen of course. My concern for Havelock is having a new coach. You never know how team will respond to a new Chief...but I suppose we who are at the game will find out soon enough.
Dillon should be playing with a huge chip on their shoulders after the Chester beating!!! I was there...saw it!!!

Havelock has a ? mark at the QB position so I foresee a whole lotta running the football by the Rams. From what the Scotland County folks say, Dillon was getting gashed for 4-5 yards a carry during the scrimmage.

I was at the Scotland game. The offense looked okay, I’m sure with time it will get better. Offense definitely has some playmakers. The defense isn’t what we’ve been use to seeing though. Not very Dillon like. Don’t know much about Havelock, but hopefully it will be a good game.

Yea the Dillon coach came down here to see Havelock scrimmage and it got rained out. So he got a bite to eat in my neck of the woods and headed back. But I was told both coaches have talked on the phone which is pretty cool. Hayes will probably load the box early and make Havelock throw the ball. Will be a good chess match early on but the second-half adjustments will be key.

Good luck. And drive safe if you decide to come to the game
