I'm looking forward to this game as well. I fully expect to be there (probably on the visitor's side since the Injuns wouldn't want a Rebel on their sideline) with a couple of my friends.

Last week, I expected the Rebels to have their hands full with Hough, but 44-7 Rebels. Comparing teams from different areas is not easy. A 10-0 team from Conway that won every game by double digits, for example may not be as good as a 8-2 Summerville team that didn't win but one game by more than one score.

Any of the guys that are familiar with football in the Charlotte area were expecting a big win for Byrnes although may be not as big as what it turned out.

Don't forget all these North Carolina people were talking big stuff and some of the south Carolina people were putting Gaffney down back when we played a nationally ranked Crest at Crest but that ball game was over by half time as the Indians went in there and curb stomped the dog crap out of them. Now I know that Crest and Mallard Creek are different but we are at home and we will defend our house.

That was 1997 and a stupid ranking considering Crest had lost a strong part of their state championship team from the previous season. Shelby beat them the next week and Crest did not make it back to the state title game.

Mallard Creek has one of the best assistant coaches in the country in my opinion, Robert Hellams.

Wrongfully run out of Northwestern when he was their OC...

I think we'll see him back in SC as a head coach sooner than later.
