Blythewood 56 Beaufort 21 Final 9/27/19

Blythewood beat Beaufort 56-21 this past Friday Night. Blythewood controlled this game from the start. Even though Beaufort lost it was still good to see My Eagles playing in their 1st home game of the 2019 season.

Beaufort's defense gave up over 500 yards to the Blythewood Offense. The Eagles "D" really looked awful in this game and has looked awful the whole season. This is the worst that I have seen a Beaufort Defense look in my 47 years of life. Beaufort missed easy tackles. They need to wrap the players up and not just hit them. Beaufort's DB'S also let the Bengal WR'S get to the first down marker and catch the ball before they tried to tackle them. The Eagle DB'S must learn to play the WR'S closer and not let them catch the football. Congrats to Blythewood on the win. Y'all have a good team.

Beaufort's Offense looked pretty good in this game. The Eagles Offense had 440 yards of total offense with 250 of it passing and 190 rushing yards. But the Eagles must cut out the turnovers and penalties. There were a ton of penalties called in this game. Beaufort QB Tyler Haley looked really good passing the football and Beaufort RB James Dagin had a great game rushing and catching the football. Beaufort's offense had 3 TD'S in this game but could have had more if they could cut out the penalties, turnovers and the WR'S dropping easy catchable balls.

If Beaufort wants to turn their season around the Eagles Defense must get better. If I was Beaufort's Defensive Coaches I would have the Defense do tackling drills all week. Also I would definitely make some changes on the defensive side of the ball. Hopefully they can find some players who know how to tackle and not let the opposing teams WR'S catch the football.

Next up for Beaufort is a trip to Effingham County Georgia next Friday Night. Hopefully My Eagles can get their 1st win of the season.
