I guess the Dorman-Spartanburg game wasn’t considered big enough to warrant a mention here. I must confess that saddens me some. It used to be one of the state’s biggest rivalries, if not the biggest and it seems to be losing its luster. That rivalry is a part of my childhood...some of my favorite memories at Dorman were of Farmer’s Day before the Spartanburg game and wishing praying and hoping for a Dorman win Over the big bad Vikings (but we always lost back in my days). And I was always good at dressing like a farmer- I won best dressed one year! Times have changed...
