Going to check out the Swamp Foxes and Green Wave tonight to gauge what kind of game to expect November 1st at the Summerville vs Fort finale. I expect that Fort will probably beat Summerville pretty bad after last year but this has usually been a good game. Almost decided to go to Wando vs Berkeley but we have seen both these teams and Berkeley should handle Wando pretty well by the second half.
Give me honest unbiased feedback on these two teams.

IF SUMMERVILLE DOES NOT HAVE THEIR PLAY MAKER BACK NO.7, COULD GO TO THE RIDGE, THE WAVE CANT COVER THE PASSING. IF NO.7 IS BACK, THE WAVE ROLL.STILL I THINK THE WAVE CAN RUN ON THE RIDGE, WAVE BY 20.

Agree with Slick. With Hopkins Wave put 31 pts on Berkeley in the 1st half. Without him we score 3 pts in the 2nd half. Hopkins does it all for Summerville, punts, KO and punt returns and WR. He is tough to bring down and fast. Big game for Region VIII as this will likely be for 2nd place in the region. FD 1st, Stall last WA, AR and Wave in between.

Well it has been a busy past few days. But I did enjoy a great ballgame over at Ashley Ridge. I was probably the most intense game I have seen this year besides the Dutch Fork vs Mallard Creek game. Both teams were very competitive up until the final 6 minutes when Summerville took over and show their power.
Slick you were correct about Brody Hopkins, if he hadn't played this game would have definitely been a Ashley Ridge victory. Almost was as the Ridge couldn't get out of their own way for all the penalties they had after leading 28-14 in the 3rd qtr. Someone needed to sit a few kids down for a play or two and let them regain their composure. Luke Taylor for the Wave has an absolute magnet for a nose for the ball. The kid was fast and chasing down runners from behind all night. He was in a high majority of the tackles too on defense. I vote this kid All-Region without a doubt in my book!!
Summerville is going to have to figure another player other than Hopkins to go to all the time. Darrion Larry is a fine running back that was under used in my opinion in this game. Summerville kept going for the Home run! You can't do that against the Fort and or most quality teams and expect to win, and that is a fact.
Matthew Duncan for the Ridge is one tough QB and played an excellent game until he had to play catch up, then they broke away from the game plan and Summerville Blitz Blitz Blitz!! They have a good running back in Troy Grant that will bring trouble for many teams as they did for Summerville. This team was no slouch. They just beat themselves. I was told before this game that neither team could play pass defense but I was surprise most at how well Ridge did play pass defense against the Wave.
If they can get their heads screwed on straight, they have a week off to prepare, they could give the Fort a good game on 10/25. Not saying they will win or lose but they showed me tonight they have matured with their talent offensive and defensive to hang with them longer than everyone that Fort has played this year including Berkeley.
On to the Upstate for a game next week.

Good post damefan. Larry has been under utilized all season. I have to believe it is injury related. He is very tough to bring down and is usually a spark the few plays he makes it onto the field. And Hopkins is just a beast. He can singlehandedly take over a game. But I do agree that we need someone else to step up. I really think that player is Larry. Finally get to play our 2nd home game of the season. Last 3 are at home. Bring on them Stall Warriors.
