Troubling. Moving games four days before the fact because of a 50% chance of showers. No severe weather involved.

Tell that to the ADs that have athletic budgets that rely heavily on what is brought in at the football games in the fall. One week of empty seats and little to no concession and they are struggling to make ends meet the rest of the year.

Down to 30% this morning.Deputy wrote:Troubling. Moving games four days before the fact because of a 50% chance of showers. No severe weather involved.

True. But if it indeed does rain. It is a wash anyway. Other than a torrential downpour, you would have about the same amount of folks on a rainy Friday as you would on Thursday, or if played on Saturday, or the following Monday. It isnt like you are going to have the same crowd any night other than Friday night. I just find it odd that so many jumped the shark and made the decision 3-4 days out. Oddly enough, the chance of rain (which was 50% to begin with) has decreased since they made their early call. Most seem to be coming from Greenville County though, which isnt surprising.ByrnesRebels05 wrote:Deputy wrote:Troubling. Moving games four days before the fact because of a 50% chance of showers. Premature calculation ...Deputy wrote:True. But if it indeed does rain. It is a wash anyway.
