So, a base of 50 schools in 1A (give or take 4)

a base of 36 schools in 5A (give or take 4)

all remaining schools divided equally into 2A, 3A, and 4A

it says that rivalries and travel distance will be considered in the give or take.

it looks good and interesting. Wish 5A was a little smaller but it is better than the current number

what's yall's thoughts? and can someone start posting enrollment number:)

Not sure what the total number of students for Dutch Fork is?
But I recall that they also added Spring Hill High to their numbers in previous alignments.
Not sure if they still do? :?:

Typically that made them a Big 16/ D1 team when we were still in the 4A system.

Just wanted to make people aware that were taking the time to add all the numbers.

Dutch Fork is listed at 1287.47 students between 9-11.
Spring Hill is list at 861 students between 9-11.

Again not sure if they still add them to their count? :?:

Another point is that a lot of the Chapin kids also come into Spring Hill too. Just talked to a Chapin parent who wasn't sure if any of those numbers go towards them. Just a thought.

The ADM from last year showed 2,111 students for Dutch Fork making them the 11th largest school in SC. Do not see how they would not be in the largest classification.

You bring an interesting point that again raises my point to how they split the numbers from Spring Hill. Dutch Forks 180 day totals from the SC Dept of Education website say they had 1,675 students in all 4 grades, yet Spring Hill had 1045. If your count of 2,111 is accurate then maybe 436 were added to Dutch Fork and the balance to Chapin???

Spring Hill is a magnet school in Chapin that does not have athletics so the kids there are able to play at either Dutch Fork or Chapin depending on where they live. This is why the numbers are added to their ADM
