Dutch Fork 45, Carolina Forest 20 - Final

Post by racincowboy02 »

Who would've thought that Carolina Forest would be practicing and getting ready for the Lower State title game I sure didn't have them punched in there at the start of the season or any part of the season to be honest

I was wondering when and if someone would post this thread.

We might find out it was a worthy discussion. I didn't think the Clover game would be full of the fireworks that we saw so who knows. I'm sure Knotts knows because Gutshall did NOT seem to be caught flat-footed last Friday night. I think Knotts will look to put away CF as fast as possible. He didn't seem to wanna have to fool around with Fort D in a 4th quarter situation.

Can Carolina Forest make the 4th quarter matter? I have no idea. All I know is what I read on this board.

Slick can we assume you give CF no chance?

I think CF can dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. However, I can only see two scenarios where CF wins. Both unlikely, but possible. One is that they start fast and DF makes a lot of mistakes early. Then CF gets a big lead and DF not used to being down loses spirit. The other is CF beats up DF at the line of scrimmage on both sides off the ball all game long and maybe giving up a couple of big plays too. However, they keep beating them on the line of scrimmage both sides of the ball and hang around with DF into the 4th quarter, something else DF isn't used to, and put the dagger in them late in the game.
