I remember at the playoff game pregame posters meeting in 2007 that I met GBG’s daddy and he looked just like Big John. Come to think of it, I never did see them at the same place at the same time.
Summerville won the game that night 23-22 (on a late diving TD catch no less, IIRC) to advance to the state championship game.
It was a long ride home and I had to be at work at 7 that Saturday morning.
