Yea, he is a little arrogant, and doesnt mind bragging on how good they are. But to somehow try to find a way to legitimize the fact that he owns 5A is avoiding reality. Of course, I saw the same type of reaction when Bentley was in the midst of his run at Byrnes.
I actually like byrnes .i have been greeted and bern shown nothing but respect by byrnes fans and thier coaches.no matter what team was across my chest. Absolutely no jealousy at all.i cant say the same for df.thats not a nock on silverfox he could be a great guy.i dont know him.but i have had a few bad run ins with fox fans.which i count as bad luck.ya beat me ya beat me .but there still can be respect and i havent gotten that vibe from several players from df and a cocky staff member.ill be the first to congratulate any athlete.at the end of the day they all play fir glory and to further thier career's.
They put in a ton of work to play on friday.
But im sure every program has a few aholes.and believe me im a professional jackass .if i say your a ass there is no doubt.

Unbelievable what people post. A lot of unknowledgeable people. Most do not know anything about the true X and O's of the game, how school systems work, or the logistics of the program.

He or his ad (i have a hard time believing a ad could tell tom no)ducked byrnes for a bit durring his run up at indy.got a scrimmage got tore up .yeah everyone knows who he has went up against and who he/they ducked.i don't blame him hell noone really wanted a piece of them except gaffney .they byrnes also played everyone in timbuck too. I find it hard to believe that a game that close couldnt be scheduled.knotts is a solid good coach.i don't care for some of his antics .but Bentley and Miller had everyones number for a while.

Another fallacy. 2001-2004 Indy outscored Byrnes in the scrimmages. Knotts left Indy immediately after the 2003 season. Byrnes was not really talked about much until 2004. When he returned in the summer of 2005 the schedule was made for 2005. 2005 one half scrimmage at Gardner Webb. Indy replaced 18 full time starters. 24-14 Bryrnes. Indy had the ball first and ten inside the twenty when the clock ran out. Byrnes was better but that was supposed to be a great Byrnes team and not a good Indy team.

2006 Indy outscores Byrnes after being down 21-0.

Byrnes recovers late fumble to outscore Indy in 2007.

Byrnes better in 2008.

After 2005 Indy offered to play at Byrnes for a full split gate in 2006. Byrnes opted for the Herbstreit in Cincinnati.

But according to that which was typed some kid in his mid teens got boxed in the mouth by tom through the fence.i do not know this to be true .but according to the story he walked over there was some jawing ole boy hit the fence which the kids face was on.i dont know what was said either. If that story is true it dont sound very good for a character reference. I mean any school could find someone to go over there and remove the guys.
If it was a 13 14 year old it would be a problem if it was a 18 yr old then maybe not so much.a lot of grey area for a story i dont know that is true.

"Some kid in his mid teens. I don't know this to be true." Really?!?

Butler JV game 2007. Butler wins at the end of the game. After the game an absent father comes to the fence and is screaming at the Indy players in the end zone. His son is a starter that he had very little contact with and it was the first high school game he had attended. Father is talking dog shite to the coaches and players. The son was begging the father to leave. Literally crying and standing by the end zone fence. Was told by a few others the father appeared to be a bit unsteady but the police never reported that but do not think he was tested in any way. A young assistant walks over and he receives more smack. The assistant told me the father said the coaches sucked and should all be fired for being fools. Second JV loss in eight seasons. (I did think they made a stupid call at the end.)

The man's father, grandfather of the player, is trying to get the man to leave. Knotts walks over and speaks to the father through the fence that separates them. It appeared from a distance they are having a regular conversation. The father starts rocking the fence back and forth within inches of Knotts' face in a fairly strong manner. Knotts grabs the fence causing the parent to slam face first into it with his momentum. Cut the man's face and bloodied his nose. Knotts just turned and walked off, like no big deal. Father's response was that Indy coaches needed thicker skin and you go to the games to get on the coaches and players.

Knotts was suspended for the Butler varsity game the next night (21-20 Butler win) while the school system investigated. The Matthews PD (Butler is in Matthews) did not file charges. Do not think there was a complaint by the man but from accounts the police gathered they stated Knotts did not initiate any contact. He missed the first round playoff game. The following Monday the school system stated that Knotts should not have approached the fan nor engaged him and that was the end of it. He had no writeups nor any further punishment. When called out for the missed games the school system stated that was not punishment as he was paid his salary and stipend during the investigation.

At Allen (Texas) in 2014. Kyler Murry was in his third year starting QB. Best high school quarterback I have seen play. The Eagles would win their third straight state big school title.

If you want to challenge your team go to Texas and play a top team, by the college rules (Texas does not go by high school federation rules) with their refs in front of 12,000 of their fans.

Yes really
Why dont you learn to comprehend what you read and dont take things out of context like a liberal would do. We could have one screwed up thread doung that crap.i said if and if it wss a 18 year old that may be different. I quote "If it was a 13 14 year old it would be a problem if it was a 18 yr old then maybe not so much.a lot of grey area for a story i dont know that is true." That is why i brought it up.none of it is factual as i stated bro.i wasnt there . I put it out there to find out.i knew someone would know what happened.what i read was a different version.but close .just ages and stuff.
Thank you for your explanation.

Are you sure you aint tom you got awefull buthurt over something i said wasnt factual.seriously dude.

As a PERSON...Tom Knotts comes off as a straight up a-hole...no denying that. But anyone who tries to argue that he is anything less than a terrific coach is just being ridiculous. He has beaten all comers in this state for a while. And we play for STATE championships in high school football; we don’t really have a national champion. He has the last four at the state’s highest level. He gets the job that he is paid to do done better than anyone else in the state right now. So you can hate the guy all you want. I don’t he and I would ever be friends. But you have to respect the job he does.

I'm not jealous of DF in the least bit. I don't care how many titles they win or don't win in a row. I don't like Knotts cause he is a cocky piece of ****. He took a team that was a cellar dweller and made them great which I think is pretty freaking awesome. The thing I don't get is the announcers on the TV were singing his praise all game long and talking about them all game long which is fine but to sit there and make a comment that the team has to go and find teams from out of state to play them cause everybody in the state don't want to play them is laughable

Preach it Cowboy. I am down. He wouldn't do nothing but scrimmage Byrnes back in the streak. It is known nation wide. I don't care what Btango says.
