Here's WHY:
First off, if you look at Chapman getting off the bus size and stature wise you think they're going to get drilled. Just being honest. Dillon completely out sized them and it's not even close. But when that ball was snapped let me tell you, I was completely and utterly blown away.
Chapman plays like they are on fire. They run to the ball on defense. They are FAST. They tackle well. The Dillon QB was under complete duress the entire game. Offensively, they are very poised. The QB makes the proper reads. They don't play nervous. The Wrs catch the football. Some of their players look like band members for goodness sakes! You're sitting there thinking, how are THOSE kids doing THAT?? It's unbelievable. Big congrats to those kids and their coach. When you see the Gaffneys, Dormans , Byrnes, Dutch Forks, TL Hanna's of last year, Fort D's, and those Goose Creek teams from the early 10s you expect them to be good based on what they have. But 2019 Chapman just blew me completely away. Before the region 2 people and Dutch Fork give hell, I'm not saying they would beat your teams. I'm just saying Chapman is more impressive based on what they have. And folks believe me.......it ain't even close.

To be fair, I haven't seen Byrnes this year. I've seen Dutch Fork once, Dorman and Gaffney twice. Since Gaffney beat Byrnes in the playoffs and then Dorman beat Gaffney in the playoffs by 3tds (which I saw) I think my perspective on this is pretty fair. Obviously I saw Chapman vs Dillon (the first half).

I agree. Half those kids looked like they would have fit right in with the band, chess club, cross-country.... but then they snapped the ball and those kids played lights-out. Fast, aggressive and well-coached.
