Proud to say that there will be two young men in their uniforms that will warm up with the team and then join the Chamber Singers Honors Choir to sing the national anthem before tonight's game!! Both are offensive lineman and one of them is a starter. Guess they will just have to hold their helmuts while they sing. Hope the rest of the choir can take their sweaty smell!!!
Seriously though one of them is mine (obviously) and I have to say that this Senior season is so bittersweet in many ways. I'm thinking many of you know and may have experienced what I mean. I've never been a clingy Mama (I promise) and I am very proud of the young man he is becoming.
Still, letting go is real hard...

Re: Walhalla @ BHP Homecoming
I was very disappointed that my daughter didn't become an offensive lineman like her old man. <jk>
She is Clarinet #1 and I'm now VP of the Band Booster Club, Equipment Manager, Trailer puller, Pit Crewman & Band Section Security Guard.
But she's a senior, and she's my youngest. It will be tough walkin' out there on Senior night this year.

My mom became a huge football fan when I was playing. She still watches it till this day. She watches much more than I do, and can talk stats with the best of them. Good luck!michellefu93 wrote:Proud to say that there will be two young men in their uniforms that will warm up with the team and then join the Chamber Singers Honors Choir to sing the national anthem before tonight's game!! Thanks guys!! He is my oldest. Even though he is 6'3" and 275 he is still my little boy. That's him in the middle #67!

Like I told all our new band parents this year, "You only have a few more years to publicly embarrass your kids, so come on out to the games and competitions and have some fun with us."
