I propose they play a game in week one of the playoffs so that one of them gets a win!

Problem with most of these high school polls are that much is based on the success the previous year without any idea of what a team may have lost to graduation. Also the sentimental side can come out. How else could one pick Gaffney over either Dutch Fork, or even Dorman? Some may just look at how many players are being recruited. It is a talking point at this time of year. Little else.

Your right about the previous year basing.
Gaffney returns a lot of starters. Including a 3 year starting QB.
I don't think it's sentimental to pick the Indians over DF or the Cavs. They just might know something we don't 🤔

Ruben...if you make a joke it always lands. Not like me throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the wall to see what's sick.

I will say it now Gaffney is the team to beat this year. 3 year starter at QB plus a variety of targets on the outside that have been around and together now since what 9th grade and were very good then. Defense lost a couple of key starters and contributors but when we lost our star LB last year it let younger guys step up and get playing time and that will be tremendous this year. Lets not forget the loss of our all state CB/WR/QB that will be hard to replace but when he was out with injury last year the younger guys stepped in and got valuable playing time. If I was anybody that was playing in 5A this year i wouldn't be overlooking them Injuns this year.
