Is the schsl and the big 10 run by the same people? Set rules, go by the rules, change the rules when you see fit.
The teams that were forced out of the playoffs have every right to push to be named co-champs. How do we know they wouldn't have won?

I'm starting to wonder what connection Jerome has to Marion. He keeps saying he doesn't want to take the experience of playing in the state championship away from the kids, but he has done that to two other teams this postseason without blinking an eye.
Will anybody be shocked when Marion announces they can't play on the 18th?

Nobody in abbeville will be shocked... Coach State at Marion would be a legend in SC Football forever if he told the SCHSL "if we can't play we don't want Co Champions because we had the Covid issue"bigdog2003 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 3:16 pmI'm starting to wonder what connection Jerome has to Marion. I don't know that Jerome, and the his hangers on, necessarily care about Marion enough to declare them co Champs because Jerome thinks they can't beat Abbeville. I just don't think they care for the extra trouble. Look back over the last few months. One would have e thought that they would have had a variety of plans at the ready to accommodate any twist in the Covid issue. But they didn't. It almost looked like they were waiting on a higher authority to tell them to shut it down for the season. When that didn't happen they were caught with their pants down. Then to ad insult to injury, genius Jerome decides to punt the issue as to how to deal with Covid back to the districts. Quite a few different plans came to be and made the playing field uneven as some schools were shut down from practices, and games, for as much as 14 days, while other schools seemingly just sent any kid with a temperature home and didn't miss a beat. The latter gave the schools in those districts quite an unfair advantage. Look at Broome. They actually had a pretty good football team. But from a Covid standpoint, their season was a disaster, while in the same region Woodruff and Chapman never missed a beat from the first day of practice. As far as the SCHSL. I have always been told that they are supposedly controlled by the member schools. And I haven't met anyone that doesn't complain about their habits, or selective prosecution. If this is true, I can't understand why the member schools don't take control of this mess if the SCHSL does indeed serve at their pleasure. The tail is wagging the dog

Yeah, we were in that season getting screwed up situation too. Game vs Saluda got postponed the morning of the game, then we missed the next 2 weeks, then Eau Claire refused to reschedule the game because they didn't want to play us, ended up playing 5 games total including a playoff game in 8 weeks. 2 losses by a combined 8 points to Gray Collegiate and Chesnee, but it seemed like the entire season was a loss.
