Anyone of you upstate boys been to the metropolis of Carlisle SC? Best damn ribs I ever ate! BBQ was good too but ribs are off the hook!!!

Carlisle is on hwy 121 between Chester and Whitmire and across from the Valero gas station is a small building with a chimney!

He cooks all his food...ribs, chicken, butts and beans on a big grate over wood !! Awesome old school cooking set-up!

Was on my way to watch Easley game couple years back and found this place. He normally only cooks Weekends but worth the drive.

Any chance you remember the name of the joint? The best food seems to come from that type of establishment.

There's not much in Carlisle, SC. I searched for a gas station and then zoomed in.
