For the record, other than knowing the basic moves I can't play chess either. My six year old son almost beat me. Almost.

I'll say this though.

I have some trick plays that would work that I've never seen tried in football. Wouldn't be ethical or moral at all. Might even make the game a nightmare but they would work well enough in a pinch if a team had it's back against the wall.
