DWD Homers...

Post by DFOLDMAN »

OK all you DWD homers, let me know what you have heard/seen about Wren? Can't find much about them online. I think they scrimmaged Hart County Ga recently in a jamboree but not much else...thoughts?

New QB from Hanna who you saw play last year at State. Apparently he can make good throws but has accuracy issues kinda like last years transfer QB. They have a solid RB that really carried the offense along with a pretty good OL that returned 4 starters. Receivers are nothing too special. The defense has a decent DL. The nose tackle is a transfer from Daniel. I played with him as a senior when he was a freshman and if he’s giving effort he’s a great player but when he’s not he quits on the team. They lost a lot in the linebacker group and secondary got destroyed in two games vs Daniel last season.

Pick a number between 50-100 and that’s how many points DF will score. Wren will score anywhere between 0-7

Hard to say about Wren right now. They beat Hart county ga 21-10 in a scrimmage. That same Hart county team tied BHP 7-7 . BHP was atrocious last year . So take that for what it’s worth. You already know about their QB situation. But wren was more run heavy last year and actually excelled at that compared to the pass. Their Rb is slick in the hole and can make you miss. Their defense hasn’t figured out our offense the last 3 years . The 5 games we’ve played we put it on them strong in 4 of them and the other one was going that route if our qb doesn’t get hurt. They have one good cornerback. But if temper can get the better of him. There is actual a transfer from Daniel on the team. DL. A lot of potential but after one good play will take two plays off . Also got more pride injuries than anyone I’ve ever seen. I don’t think y’all will have an issue . Maybe tight early on with y’all pulling away in the second half . That is a viper pit and I have seen some very questionable calls over there in the past. 35-14
Give or take a Td each way is my prediction.

lol true.... 22 years in the Dutch Fork camp..."new" is a little misleading- been on this bandwagon quite a while. My sons all went through Rich-Lex 5 and played at DF (Football/Wrestling)...before Knotts showed up...easily tons of talent walking the halls, but not on the field. back to back 2-9 seasons, probably the worst big 16 team in the state. Last good team before Knotts was 2006 when DF went to the semi-finals. Knotts first year, and probably his best job coaching they went 10-3.
