Who has a pre-season guess of final Region standings with Hillcrest as the top team in Region I? Any real prognosticators in the bunch? Greenwood has to be shell shocked.
The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!

Strictly based on not knowing if Hillcrest would develop a consistent enough offense.
They hired the WR Coach from Northwestern as their offensive coordinator this year.
He has helped develop sophomore QB #12 Collin Sneed.
Consistent QB play is all they were missing last year.
Also, he has TONS of talent surrounding him.
#13 Ki-jana Madden (Awesome player, Wildcat QB/RB, WR, KR, PR, and FS last year) All over the field.
#2 WR and #6 WR are fast as lightning. (among others)
Their defense is solid at all 3 levels. (DL, LB, DB)
They held Mauldin to 13 points. Mauldin averages 45 pts. a game.
Only question I have is will they be battle tested enough come playoff time.

*Those that sat with me at the 3A state championship game last year, can we revisit the conversation about Union's overall lack of talent on defense? I remember being scoffed at when suggesting that Hillcrest had better defensive personnel than Union.* (Union was a "One Man Gang", all QB, not much else)

Having watched Greenwood play this past Friday. GWD is a good team but they are clearly in a rebuilding mode as compared to the squads that they have had the last 3 years. Plenty of sophomores and juniors on the field for them.
