OK, here we are going into the last week, week 11. There are 3 games remaining in this Region. A couple of house cleaning chores first.

1-Summerville has already won the Region and is in the playoffs regardless of the outcomes of any of the three games.

2-Beaufort has amassed enough points already to make the playoffs regardless of the outcomes of any of the games. Seeding is their only concern.

3-Fort Dorchester has also amassed enough points to make the playoffs regardless of the outcomes of any of the games.

4-Ashley Ridge appears to be in a "Must Win" situation due to their point total. I see the Foxes needing to earn one of the two remaining automatic qualifiers in order to make the playoffs.

5-Bluffton has played their cupcake schedule to the point where not only must they win, they also must have Beaufort lose, or have Beaufort win AND Ashley Ridge win to gain an automatic qualifier.

Now, the three games:

Summerville @ Bluffton. This is a must win for Bluffton to even have a long shot at making the playoffs. Summerville needs to win to secure what appears to be at least 2 home playoff games if they win them.

Fort Dorchester @ Ashley Ridge. The Foxes are in a Must win situation. A win guarantees them an automatic playoff berth, while a loss all but eliminates them depending upon other outcomes.

Walterboro @ Beaufort. Walterboro breaks out the bouncy balls come Saturday, win or lose. Beaufort needs a win, coupled with a Fort win to gain the #2 automatic qualifier. A loss could drop them to third, or even to an at-large depending upon the outcome of the Fort/A-R game.

With 4 teams all being 2-2 heading into the final week, we know for sure that either Fort or A-R will get to 3-2. Bluffton gets to 3-2 with a win, as does Beaufort.

As for the tiebreakers for this Region:

1-Beaufort wins any tiebreaker that has three teams tied, no matter which 3, as long as they are one of them. They have more points.

2-Beaufort wins a 2 team tiebreaker with either Fort Dorchester, or Bluffton, having defeated both of those teams. The Eagles lose a 2 team tiebreaker with Ashley Ridge, having lost to the Foxes.

3-Fort wins a 2 team tiebreaker with Bluffton, having defeated them. They cannot finish tied with Ashley Ridge. The Pats lose a 2 team tiebreaker with Beaufort.

4-Bluffton wins a 2 team tiebreaker with Ashley Ridge, having defeated them. Bluffton MUST defeat Summerville on Friday, and have some help to have a shot. Bluffton loses a 2 team tiebreaker with both Beaufort and Fort having been defeated by both.

5-Ashley Ridge wins a 2 team tiebreaker with Beaufort, having defeated the Eagles. They MUST defeat Fort on Friday and finish 3-2 to have a shot. The Foxes lose a 2 team tiebreaker with Bluffton having lost to them.

This is possibly the most competitive Region in the entire state with just 3 games remaining to determine which 3 get the automatics, and who may get an at-large.
The "Godfather" didn't whine like The "Slobfather" is doing, when he got INDICTED!!!!!

I would have to agree with this statement. It is certainly the most intriguing!

Some of Region 2's games are hard to pick but they don't have nearly the significance when it comes to just making the playoffs.
6 or 7 will make the playoffs from that Region.

Excellent post Penguin!
