Was there a Defensive stop in the entire game? There sure were. BS stopped Mauldin one time and Mauldin stopped BS three times, thus the margin.
I've watched a lot of High School Football over the years.
I've never seen an 83-70 game. HOLY COW!
I've seen 80-30 type games before but never 83-70!

Were the Defenses just taking chances praying for a turnover. NO that was not the issue, the issue is the amount of speed for Mauldin and the lack of talent for Mauldin on the defense. It is as if Mauldin made a conscious decision to put all their athletes on Offensive side of the ball .
The number of missed tackles must be mind boggling! There sure were, probably more missed tackles than you could count!!!.

Honest question because I don't get to watch Region 2, does ANYBODY play any defense
or are the offenses just that GOOD!<==== This is my guess. Wide Open style, with speed everywhere. I think the 7 on 7 give the offense the advantage since they are actually playing year round. Think back to the old games in the back yard with you and seven friends... when you spread it out, you only have to beat one man to make a big play!

I would think the key to playing some of these teams would be to slow the pace down and make each possession more pressure packed instead of the fast pace style that these teams are accustomed to?

Far cry from a Seneca vs. Carolina 3A game that I saw years ago that only had 3 possessions in the 1st Half.
Three - 8 minutes drives for TD. :o Score was 14-7 at the Half.

Shout out to Dorman #22 JJ Arcega-Whiteside. Surprised no one has mentioned him yet. And #84 Jonathan Jackson, leads League in sacks, and ran down a Byrnes RB who had a head start...

I had the opportunity, this past Friday, night to see Blake Bone of Woodruff. The kid is an unbelievable wide receiver. He had maybe about 175 receiving yards in the first half. Catching some while being triple covered. I'll never understand why the coaches only threw it to him once in the second half.
CENTRAL EAGLES...MAKE PLAYS NOT EXCUSES.

I may be kinda partial because I have seen him so much this year but Collin sneed soph. QB from hillcrest is really really good he can really spin it. Has great foot work in the pocket an runs with power like tebow. Really excited to see how we do as a 2 seed in the playoffs I think we have the talent to get to a state championship but beating byrnes is another story as for anyone who plays them an I think if we get mauldin in the second round there going to be tough. They have an amazing offence we held them to 13 the first game of the yr but I think they have figured some stuff out. Mauldin has zero defense. QB dre massey is a heck of an athlete but our D is very stingy. But I see us going pretty far in the playoffs. LETS GO RAMS!!!!
