Whale Branch Has To Forfeit Game

The Warriors officially lose 2-0 against Baptist Hill tonight. According to reports from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, a 15 year old minor child had a loaded handgun in his backpack. School was on lockdown due to a tip at the time of the search. Apparently a huge fight erupted afterwards with many suspensions issued. It is not clear whether any of Coach Hatcher's players were involved, but school was dismissed and due to that, no extracurricular activities could take place.

This is awful for Whale Branch. I was hoping that this game would be played. It should have been a great game. I heard that it was a Whale Branch Player that brought the gun to School. I sure hope that is not true. I guess we will hear the details soon. This is a sad situation. But I am so glad that the other Student let the Staff know about the gun being brought to School. This situation could have been much worse.

Still unclear why if one person committed that stupid act why the whole team had to suffer. Just because their on the football team doesn’t mean it’s football related. Seems like something else could’ve been worked out there. Feel bad for the rest of those kids .
