BEAUFORT-13 MAY RIVER-7 FINAL

Congratulations to May River for playing a very good game. The Sharks scored on their opening drive and held a 7-0 advantage over Beaufort at the half by forcing a late 2nd Quarter Eagles fumble deep in Sharks territory. Beaufort started using their size and strength in the second half, completely dominating the Sharks by mostly running the ball, coupled with a few timely pass completions. The Eagles finally got in the end zone on the first play of the 4th quarter, tying the game. The "NASTY" Eagles defense then forced the decisive turnover on the Shark's first play after the score. A few hard runs later and Beaufort paid off a 25 yard drive by scoring the winning TD. Missed the PAT, but were never really challenged after that, turning the Sharks over on downs twice to secure the "W".

In our first 4 games of the year, the 3A Eagles go 1-1 against 5A schools, losing to the 2nd ranked 5A team in the state at their joint, and 2-0 against 4A schools.

Now we come back home for the fleabags! Ohh what fun this is going to be.

EAGLES WIN!!!! EAGLES WIN!!!! EAGLES WIN!!!! What a game!!!! Beaufort was down 7-0 to May River entering the 4th Quarter. But Beaufort scored 13 unanswered points to win this Huge County Rivalry Game. It was another great defensive game for The Eagles. Congrats to May River on the great game with My Eagles. Good luck to the Sharks on the rest of their season. May River seems to always play Beaufort tough.

It was great seeing Beaufort move Kacy Fields to RB. Fields was the MVP of this game with 2 rushing TD'S in the 4th Quarter. I would rotate Fields on RB and WR for the rest of the season. Kacy is valuable at the WR position also and The Eagles will need him there every now and then to throw the opposing defenses off. Beaufort's Offense struggled in this game also to score points. I would still do some tinkering with the Eagle's Offense. Beaufort's Sophomore QB Samari Bonds is getting better but he is still young and learning. I think Bonds is doing a great job but Beaufort needs to keep opening up the playbook. I hope to see The Eagles Offense score a lot of points next week against Bluffton.

As for Beaufort's Defense, what can I say... The Eagles Defense is awesome!!!! Beaufort's Defense has only allowed 35 Points Total in 4 games. . They are giving up less than 9 Points a game. Beaufort is doing this without DL Eamon Smalls a West Virginia Commit who was kicked off the team for breaking team rules and missing practices. Smalls had only played in 6 Quarters this season. You know what they say that Defense wins championships and this Eagles "D" is very, very good!!!! It is great seeing Beaufort's Defense led by Colton Phares, Jack Sumner, Carter Bowersox and Aaron Lamb.

This was a very exciting game!!!! I love games like this!!!! The Crowd was awesome on both sides and the Weather was perfect. Beaufort improves to 3-1 on the Season. Next up is another Big County Rivalry Game against those Bluffton Bobcats in the Beautiful Eagles Nest next Friday Night. I can't wait!!!!
