Will miss coach Brown

As they have interviews next week for the Stags new head coach. My thoughts are how can you fire such a legend and for what reason, sure we all know its about wins and losses and money from football to take care of all the revenue losing sports. Brown becomes only the 3rd coach to be fired in Stags history. only one true legend that I remember was fired for the same reason. Willie Varner at Woodruff was fired in 1996. He had won 385 games and lost 131 games and tied 11- he had won 10 state titles. Now Brown won 293 games and lost 142 games - 5 state titles. Just unbelievable to do this action but life moves on and hope they pick good to replace a legend. Miss you coach Jerry Brown, had hoped my fan run and your coaching run would end we would end together.

Slick I feel your pain. I played on Coach Varner’s 3rd State championship team in 1965. We beat your Stags. Woodruff has just now hired their six coach since Coach Varner. We have no State Championships since Coach Varner was fired. I keep hoping we will finally get a Coach with the desire to out work his opposing coaches like Coach Varner.
