2023 BEAUFORT FOOTBALL SCRIMMAGES

My 2023 Beaufort Football Team has 2 preseason scrimmages scheduled:
Thursday, August 3rd-Bamberg-Ehrhart-Home in the Beautiful Eagles Nest-6:00 PM
Thursday, August 10th-Summerville-Away-6:00 PM

Both of these should be great scrimmages. According to the HSSR, Bamberg is their #1 ranked 1A School. Bamberg is usually very, very good in Football. Summerville is the HSSR's #2 ranked team in 5A. I am so excited to see some Beaufort Eagles Football!!!! Beaufort is the reigning 3A State Football Champions!!!! I think it will be another awesome year for My Eagles!!!!

I was at Beaufort's Scrimmage this past Thursday against Bamberg. In my observations from this Scrimmage, I have to say that Bamberg looks like they are going to have a very good team this season. The Red Raiders should be one of the favorites to win the 1A State Title this season. Their QB looked really good passing the football in this scrimmage. Bamberg has some excellent receivers also. I wish Bamberg the best of luck this season!!!! Thanks for the tough scrimmage against Beaufort.

Ok, as for My Beaufort Eagles. They made a ton of mistakes which are expected for a first scrimmage and the first time with their pads on. But hopefully, the Eagles will learn from their mistakes and get better and better. Beaufort's Center had trouble hiking the ball all night, the 2nd and 3rd Centers did a lot better than the first one. Also, Beaufort's Offensive Line has to do a better job at Blocking, The Eagle RB's didn't do much at all in this Scrimmage, and Beaufort's Passing defense was terrible in this Scrimmage. So I am glad that Beaufort still has time to work on these things and get better. I know that Coach Lybrand and his excellent Staff will have My Eagles ready to play some ball come August 18 at Cane Bay.

I also have to say that I was very impressed with the crowd at this Scrimmage. There were a ton of people there!!!! I guess it helps to win a State Title Last season. .

Next up for Beaufort is a trip to Flowertown to scrimmage against Summerville on Thursday, August 10th. The Scrimmage will be at 6:00 PM. I can't wait!!!! It should be a good one.
