Short answer....Most Definitely.

Fear The Fox...
You might be right. I think Greenwood days are over with. We will continue to lose to North Augusta, TL Hanna, Westside and Greenville going forward.

That makes these statements invalid and just rumor mill stuff. They are getting ready to build a new pressbox at Emerald. A nice one.

Why would I mention a source on a message board?

You can name drop Sparky and Liner and whoever else you want all day, but it’s all moot.

If both schools continue to struggle in ALL sports, not just football, then Greenwood District 50 will push for Emerald to become a 9th grade academy again and it will go through this time.

They have to build a nice press box at Emerald because the district can’t justify haves vs. have-nots any longer. EHS facilities were slum-level before the schools played each other in football a couple years back. It was one of the best moves McMahon made - they couldn’t hide that garbage field/facility from the people across town any longer.

Greenwood didn’t play down to their level of competition this week. Maybe this was a “get right” game for them.

Emerald on the other hand.

Some of the stuff Dubose is saying just seems so out of touch.

“We would’ve scored on the play if Eastside didn’t intercept it and return it for a TD.” What?!?

Nah, you got outcoached at halftime. One team adjusted, the other team didn’t.

“We’re the best team in our region, we just don’t have any wins to show for it.”

Did he forgot that Clinton exists?

I can agree some with there being problems in the community. But on that same token Greemwood issues as far as crime etc are not worse than Anderson. There 2 schools are actually playing better football than they did years ago.

Trust me when I say this, we (Anderson ) have more than our share if “issues” with lot of these kids. It is a constant battle. TLH has had more fights since school started back than anyone can recall All tied to gang type issues or what ever you want to call it

Had a Westside coach tell me few years back that if we could get 40-50 kids out of each school it would solve lot of issues

Hard for coaches to go out in community and make a difference when you have NO DAD’s there to make a positive impact. DANG SAD
