That is a fantastic rule.
I love it.

There are a couple problems with this......

#1---- The kick play SHOULD have been flagged. Because the kicking team is REQUIRED to have at least 4 players on each side of the kicker. They did not meet this requirement. Should have been flagged and backed up 5 yards. Would they have still made it? Maybe.... who knows...

#2---- There's absolutely no way for this to be a "walk off" winning kick. Because there was indeed ONE second on the clock. Lets say for instance they did manage to line up correctly and kick this through the uprights for a field goal. Guess how much time should be on the clock after it scores... Yep,,, Still one second. Because the only way for the clock to start on a free kick is for the ball to be TOUCHED by somebody. So, these officials messed that up as well. The other team should have been given at least an opportunity to return a kickoff after this...

But yeah,,, this is indeed a very cool and widely unknown rule. And very very rare......

I'm thinking you are not a "casual fan", you seem to have a good grasp of the rules. :)
