CRESTWOOD 44 BEAUFORT 0 FINAL 11/10/2023

Crestwood defeated My Beaufort Eagles last night 44-0 in the 2nd round of the Class 3A State Football Playoffs. The Knights completely dominated The Eagles in this game. Crestwood looks really good on Offense and Defense. Crestwood QB Javion Martin is as good as advertised. Martin threw the ball for 170 yards and had 3 passing TD'S against Beaufort. I think he is one of the best QB'S that I have seen in High School Football in a very long time. Crestwood RB Azarian Yates also had a good game running the football with 100 yards rushing.

Beaufort's Offense wasn't able to move the ball all night long against The Knights Defense. The Eagles' Offense only managed about 50 yards total with only a couple of First Downs. I thought that Beaufort should have thrown the ball more against Crestwood. I hope to see Beaufort throw the ball more to their TE next season. I think that will really be a weapon for the Eagles' Offense. Beaufort's OL struggled blocking in this game. Plus Beaufort's Defense had trouble stopping Crestwood all night long. The Eagles "D" also continued to forget how to wrap their guys up on a tackle instead of just trying to knock him down. It was just a very disappointing way to end the season. This was Beaufort's Worst game played in a long time and especially the worst in Coach Lybrand's tenure.

Congrats to Crestwood on the win. I was very impressed with the Knights. I wish Crestwood the best of luck in the rest of the 3A Playoffs.

I am so sad to see the Eagles' Football Season come to an end. I am really going to miss the Senior Players and wish them the best of luck in their Future Endeavors. Beaufort has some good players coming back next season and it should be another good year for them I hope. Next up for me is Beaufort Basketball.
