Well 7 days , no power.
13 houses one block from 500 crew trucks and a thousands of workers in sleeper trailers. Haven't seen or heard from Duke.

The only thing between my house and the duke energy Spartanburg headquarters is The Vikings Radio station.

Everyone around me has power.

We got power Tuesday around 3pm internet came back up but was on for about an hour and then went right back out I know that ain't nothing right now but it was so frustrating to have it and then boom gone again no telling when i will get that back lol been back at work since weds plant lost power and didnt get it back to early monday morning

On a side note had a big oak tree fall in the back yard and if it wouldve been 15 foot bigger or my house wouldve been built 15 foot farther back we wouldve lost our house

Mikey finally got internet last night around 9pm..I had Spectrum internet and cell service so basically I was cut off from the outside world other than news channel 7 with rabbit ears I hooked up last Friday when we got power back..hooked up the generator after day 3 to run the refrigerator, some lights and fans, but by then we had lost a lot of stuff in the freezer..really wasn’t prepared with long drop cords to run much more..and I wasn’t sitting in those gas line the first few days..

One thing that stood out to me was how reliant some of have become on the internet..from banking to healthcare..I really needed to look at my mychart during this 12 day outage…Spectrum has dropped the ball with their lack of communication to the public..the news media has too for not pressing them on the subject..still haven’t seen not one press release from them..

Rode the golf cart around a lot during the outage…I saw people outside and most all of them would stop what they doing and wave…neighbors coming together and cooking the meat in their freezers ,setting up food giveaways on the whim ..people with chain saws and tractors helping people they never knew before with tree removal..sad it takes a disaster to see this.

Overall it wasn’t bad ,just more of an inconvenience….fantasy football season is ruined for me however..

Keep the people in WNC in your prayers..I doubt it will ever be the same..
