Well, this should be the quickest HS hire ever! Only one Coach that should be the target and Mann should do whatever they can to make sure he doesn't leave!
Re: Jaybo Shaw moving on from Greenville
Agree, this one should be a no brainer.
Would love to hear from a Greenville fan, why did Shaw want to leave after one season?

I'd make a call to CCES HC Quin Hatfield. At least kick the tires and see what he says. His son is a SR, and he's a pretty good coach. Gets alot out of his players.

"Recruiting" to magnet programs at Greenville High was money when GHS was still just in AAAA and Porter could bring Golden Strip kids with him up 385 with no issue.
The multiplier rule is absolutely crushing to Greenville now, since it places them well into AAAAA. The lack of direct feeder middle schools, combined with the ascent of Mann, makes for real tough sledding there.
Don't know what he thought he was getting into when he signed up last year, but I don't blame him.
(For those that aren't familiar, GCSD has middle schools that do not directly correspond to many of its high schools, especially in the city, and specifically at Greenville, Southside, Berea, Wade Hampton, and Eastside.)

Re: Jaybo Shaw moving on from Greenville
I have always hated to see Head Coaches leave a School after only 1 season. I know some of those Coaches have good reasons to leave but I feel really bad for the Kids. One season at a School doesn't help a team at all. A coach comes in for that year and the Kids get used to his Coaching style then we he leaves they have to get used to another coach. I just hate seeing this. My Beaufort Football Team has seen this before. I hope that Greenville gets a good Coach.
