Greenville has started the application process
The AD at Greenville has started the application process for the next football coach and all applications are to be turned in by the 20th. They aren't wasting anytime this time around on finding the next coach and I love it.

I have no idea, but I do know how the process works.
You don't have that quick of a turn around unless you know who it will be.

Would be shocked if Greenville wasn’t set to hire someone in the recruiting circle in Greenville County so they can get back to their winning ways. I know some want to do it with GHS kids, but if they try to do that they will be just another WH, BR, TR. Am sure Jaybo probably started looking for options last summer as he realized what the lay of the land was in GC, and knew that he was going into the season with very little talent. One figures he took the job thinking it was a program on the doorstep of a state championship. But he didn’t know the reality of why.

Re: Greenville has started the application process
Very true. And sad. Never was it more evident than at GHS this year. Porter left and no recruiting class to take the place of the graduated. Then what talent was left was poached away in the transfer portal at the start of the summer. Had quite a few kids that talent wise should have been on JV, but they were starting on the varsity. But as to getting a stop to the recruiting? Don’t see that happening. And nobody at the district cares about football anyway. Either the coach actively recruits or you have a program like WH, TR, BR. Greenville saw both sides of that coin in a year.

Again, this hire is absolutely a no brainer! Hearing it is all about does current school makes counteroffer
Re: Greenville has started the application process
Anyone know why in the world Porter took the job at Laurens .He will never have the athletes to win on a consistent basis .Maybe he thought he could win on coaching alone.

Porter took the job because he likes the challenge to rebuild football programs. Also, he would be closer to home.
