I thought all along they would promote from within... and I think they should have done this unless they had another option that was just too good to pass up. Don't get me wrong, I think the White Knoll Coach is great and if he applied at Byrnes, I'd be calling for them to hire him NOW! However, Donnie has been very loyal and very good to the Indians and I'm sure he was the #1 choice of the retired coach. I wish him all the best!

I understand and appreciate the loyalty part....but passing on Pelham....

That will come back to haunt the Injuns I'm afraid, especially if a team like Dorman or Byrnes hire him down the road. I hope he hangs around for DF, but I don't know how long TK is going to coach... and Pelham is a big time HS football HC. I could see GA or NC snagging him.
