WF has better athletes but Socastee will win a low scoring game. Only reason Conway lost to WF was coaching. We played 15 yd cushions and they 5 yd passed us to death. WF couldn't run on us especially between the tackles. Conway was able to run and pass but needed to convert fg's to tds. IMO anything can happen in region 6 this year.

If Goodman plays Friday that game will be over by the 3rd quarter and socastee wont score more than seven pointsTigerific wrote:WF has better athletes but Socastee will win a low scoring game. I've seen goodman play for 3 years. He's a good player but won't make that much difference.

What you mean he's a dual threat qb Hiller the back up is just more of a passer that makes defenses think when there facing a dual threat I bet if goodman woulda played against Conway a wk ago WF woulda blew them outTigerific wrote:I've seen goodman play for 3 years. Re: Projections as of 10/20
All games count and an Easley victory over Greenwood would definitely impact the Brackets, and I don’t mean to disrespect any team or imply that the only games I mention are the “important” games; however, I just want to point out a few games from each of the final three weeks that will go a long way to determine the seedings in both brackets.
Week 9 Impact Games
Region One: Westside –vs– Laurens. If Westside beats Laurens this week, the Westside –vs– in Week 10 will be for all intents and purposes the game to decide who gets the #1 bid from Region One. Hillcrest cannot get the #1 bid unless someone knocks off Westside, and these two games look to be the best chance the Rams have of getting some help. Greenwood, doesn’t control its own destiny either as they lost to Hillcrest, so they are essentially 1 ½ games behind Hillcrest.
Region Two: Unless there is an upset, Week 9 is not that exciting in Region Two. The Dorman and Boiling Springs game is the game that “could” have bracket implications. A Bulldog win, and Byrnes is about as close to a lock for Region title as you can get. Wins over Mauldin and Wade Hampton and the game at Roebuck is just for bragging rights and seeding points as Dorman would have two Region losses and the Rebels hold the tie breaker over Spartanburg due to head to head win.
Region Three: Well, it appears that Region Three has settled the #1 and #2 bids barring some craziness. The #3 and #4 bids are pretty well up for grabs and could get as difficult as Chinese Algebra in the next few weeks. Nation Ford is the least likely to make the playoffs, but with Clover and Rock Hill still to play, they could still sneak in. The game most likely to have playoff implications this week is Clover and Gaffney. Should Gaffney win, they would almost lock up a playoff berth. If Clover wins, well that is where the Chinese Algebra comes in. While not likely, how about all four teams still having playoff shot going in to Week 11?
Region Four:
The only real question here is which wood? Blythewood or Westwood? As of right now, Westwood win here and they set up the match up of undefeated Region foes in Week 10 as 3-0 Dutch Fork would play 3-0 Westwood. Region championship on the line!! Huge playoff implications!!! You wouldn’t take Westwood and 14.5 points against Dutch Fork would you?
Region Five:
OK, if you had White Knoll winning this Region, raise your hand. {Telling a fib is still a sin, by the way!} Oh yeah, the game of the week in Region Five is…..
Region Six:
The big game here is Conway and South Florence. No, seriously, this is the game! Go Tigers and Tigerific will tell you that this young Conway team is going to knock the socks off of the Bruins and turn the Region upside down. Actually, I want to see if Carolina Forest’s scare last week woke the Bruins and make them realize they can’t coast in to the finish line.
Region Seven:
I’m going to say Cane Bay {who played Summerville close and scared the Gator faithful to death last week} and James Island is the game to watch here. A Cane Bay win would just about lock up a playoff berth and make Wando’s task really tough.
Region Eight:
Ashley Ridge –vs– Bye Week is the game of the week here…. Think I’m kidding? Bluffton –vs– Fort Dorchester and Summerville –vs– Colleton County are the other two games…. OH, now you see! If Summerville loses this game after a Bye Week, GoBigGreen will change his screen name to GodHelpUs!
Week Ten:
Region One: Regardless of what happens in Week 9, the Week 10 Game of the Week for this region has to be Westside and Greenwood. If Westside has not suffered a Region Loss, this could be Coach Early’s first Region Title at Westside. I don’t see TL Hanna upsetting them in Week 11….
Region Two: Well, I finally found a game of significance in Region Two for this week…. Down at The U, the Rebels and the Cavs square off in a game that could be the difference between the overall #2 seed for Dorman or a first round trip to Sumter, possibly. If both win in Week 9, this showdown will determine if Dorman is the #1 bid or the #3 bid from Region Two. The #3 bid is likely the #9 overall seed in Division One and that means “On The Road Again…”
Region Three: Fort Mill and Gaffney could be playing for the #3 bid from the Region… depending on what happens in Week 9.
Region Four: 3-0 Dutch Fork and 3-0 Westwood??? I don’t have enough flowery adjectives and adverbs to make you believe this is a big game do I? Actually, Spring Valley and Ridge View could have huge implications… can Spring Valley get to 6-5? It would be a Bonus for some folks…
Region Five: I’m trying to come up with something… I really am…
Region Six: Conway and Sumter could be a bracket buster…
Region Seven: Cane Bay –vs– Wando with Wando needing this one to ensure their Playoff Berth. I think they will have enough points even if they don’t get the automatic bid, but no need to take any chances.
Region Eight: Summerville and Ashely Ridge with AR coming off a Bye Week and potentially playing for the #2 bid for Region Eight. The word consistent has not been used to describe Summerville too often this season and this could be a HUGE game for old “MO” going into the playoffs.
Week Eleven
Region One: Greenwood and Laurens match up looks like it will be the Game right now. Seeding issues will definitely be at stake in this game.
Region Two: Boiling Springs and Mauldin {by default} unless Riverside vs Dorman… no, I can’t even say that… but look at the #4 bid from Region Two in the projection. Did you have Riverside in the playoffs?
Region Three: Northwestern playing Gaffney would have been the pick way back in August, but now, Nation Ford and Rock Hill? York and Clover? Well, the most likely game with real playoff implications cannot be determined at this time…. Check back later.
Region Four: Spring Valley and Westwood, depending on the previous two weeks, may be a game that gathers lots of attention if Spring Valley is 5-5 going into the game. Getting that 6th win could change seeding for a lot of folks and even determine where Northwestern and maybe another team end up, Division One or Division Two. Northwestern’s placement will have tremendous impact on the seedings. South Florence could gain home field until Columbia if Northwestern moves to Div One.
Region Five: I swear guys, I really looked…
Region Six: West Florence and South Florence, even if no playoff indications are hanging by a thread, because it is for the City Championship if nothing else. I do think WF would love to be the team to keep SF from being the undefeated Region Champs….
Region Seven: Got to be Stratford and Goose Creek. I mean do you need any explanation here? Both could be undefeated in the Region and the overall #1 seed on the line for the winner. Does it get any bigger in the Regular Season?
Region Eight: Ashley Ridge and Fort Dorchester. I know you don’t think so, but the same could be said here in Region Eight, except that I don’t think with wins over Summerville and Fort Dorchester that Ashley Ridge could get to the #1 or #2 seed overall in Division One… #3 maybe and that would mean only one potential road playoff game. Hey, I know you are laughing now, but let me point out that football can be crazy… ask Boiling Springs about Riverside, or North Augusta about White Knoll, or Hillcrest about Westside, or…. You get my point?

I wouldn't say Conway will win but I do think we have a punchers chance without the mistakes that have cost us all year.

Week 10
Region Eight: Summerville and Ashely Ridge with AR coming off a Bye Week and potentially playing for the #2 bid for Region Eight. The word consistent has not been used to describe Summerville too often this season and this could be a HUGE game for old “MO” going into the playoffs.
Rebel the word consistent has not been used to describe either team (AR 4 wins in a row 3 losses in a row 2 wins in a row) Well then again I guess it depends on what side of consistent you look at...hahaha. But remember the game is played on Halloween so I expect a strange game in this one. On paper Summerville should blow Ashley Ridge out of the water. But it is a rival game and you never know what may happen. To start the season it was supposed to be Summerville and Ft and who ever else pulling up third, then it was Ft. D /Summerville and Ashley Ridge showed who would be third, now this game is more for who gets to stay at home for the first round. What Summerville would hope is for them to Beat Ashley Ridge, Then Ashley Ridge find a way to beat Ft. D then your talking about really messing things up.
Correct me if I am wrong but That would make Summerville Region champs if there is a 3 way Tie correct? (Ft. win over Sville, Sville win over AR, AR win over Ft) If I am thinking correctly that would make Summerville 1st, Ashley Ridge 2nd and Ft. D 3rd. I know I know a lot can happen but that is another way to look at it since the water is still muddy in this region as well.
