You're welcome.
Coaches aren't supposed to know this stuff (I am), they don't have time to calculate all of this.
I've done it for a long time...

River Bluff could have only gotten a good seed by finishing 1st or 2nd in Region.

With 1 (3A) and 3 (2A) teams on the schedule,
It is probably one of the bigger upsets of the season that River Bluff got into the playoffs with an At-large berth. :o
Tell those coaches that you know congratulations. Impressive first season.

But also tell them to send a Thank You card to Cheraw (6-5) for winning 6 games.
If they hadn't, River Bluff would not have made it....

Trust me, they knew they were walking a fine line. And am sure as the season played out regretted they might have regretted a couple scheduling decisions. Oddly enough, their loss to 2A Crescent was probably the worst game they played all year. But when scheduled, I would figure that being their first year as a varsity program, they probably thought victories might be hard to come by. But Bennett do a good job of making them competitive in that region. I doubt that few thought they would even win a region game.

EHS.......On another topic, maybe you can answer a question. Maybe you can, maybe you cant, or maybe you wont. But my spies tell me that a lot of folks over in Easley are less than enthused by the coach over there. Any truth to rumors that there may be a change?

Any other 4A team playing that many 2A teams and the words Cupcake would come to mind, but in this case I actually thought that it was smart to do what they did.
I'm guessing they didn't have much depth to start the season and this would give them an opportunity to build that depth while not destroying the kids confidence.

You know...it gave them an opportunity to find more DAWGS on the team!!!! ;)

As I stated before when asked on the subject...

Slim on quality of depth to begin the season, and still are. But that isn't a surprise in their situation. This was really exposed in week 0 when they had to play Westwood in that heat, and with a backup QB. Westwood is real good anyway, but that just compounded the problem. Not that it made any difference in the winner, but maybe the score wouldn't have been as bad. For the uneducated about Westwood, they are the good team that has kind of flown under the radar all year. Huge up front offensively, and have a pretty good defense. They can do some damage in the playoffs.

Anyway, I will accept your stance of neutrality on the Easley situation. Easley isn't Easley anymore anyway. About the same as Gaffney leaving their stadium. You go to a game in Easley now, and wonder where you are.
