I enjoy talking football....wether it was the ffirst game or last we will beat mauldin they put up 49 aganist byrnes what does that say about DEFENSE!! Just curious?

Look, you don't need to get upset, I'm just telling you that many folks are going to say you played a weak schedule. They do have a legitimate arguement as Region One doesn't have a lot of great teams.... offensively or defensively. 44-77 overall record for your opponents is quite low. Just stating facts. You may end up in Columbia and you may be the AAAA State Champions, but being new to the board, I just wanted to prepare you for what you can expect. People still don't respect Byrnes, there is an example highlighted above, but I don't get mad about it, I expect it. We all look at our team differently than we look at other teams.

As for Mauldin, will they beat you in the rematch, we have to wait and see if that happens, but I've seen quite a bit of improvement on the Mavs part during the season (saw them more than once). I don't think they are nearly the same team you played in week one. They have matured and advanced on the offensive side and I think could challenge any team in the state (Byrnes, Northwestern, Goose Creek included), but their defense is still VERY WEAK. If they play like they are capable, they could be in Columbia as well....even with no defense!!!

Well, when BB rolls around, I'll be watching the ACC..... but it will be the ACC WOMEN. I go to the Womens ACC Tournament about every year. I've only missed three or four since 1996 and those were health issues with the wife. She talked me into going in 96 and I've been a big fan of SEC and ACC women since. That and we just don't seem to be able to put a team on the court at Byrnes since '93.

Glad you understand where I'm coming from, not hating, just trying to prepare you for the "non believers" :D

Note to Hillcrest fans:
Don't worry too much about what other people think of your team, worry about what you think of your team. That is all that matters!
Even when you prove them wrong, the argument just changes!

Examples:
The "They haven't played anybody" crowd...
Weren't people saying the same thing about South Florence before they played Stratford.

Now after Stratford lost to SF, the new line is, "Well, Stratford had a more important game the next week against Goose Creek. That SF game was meaningless.

If a Hillcrest fan points out that....
The Mauldin team that has been Lighting Up the scoreboard on everybody in Region 2....only scored 13 against Hillcrest!

Obvious Naysayer response: Well, Mauldin's offense is much better now and they won't stop them if they play again.

Just Win on the field, because you CAN'T Win on these message boards.

Hillcrest did play some teams when they were not their usual selves, and that is not HHS's fault...but it does mean that HHS is an overrated 2 seed. Rock hill played better as the season progressed...you will be challenged and probably beaten.

Please don't play the DORMAN STOLE ONE card. You left the door open, you got as many or more calls...and you have to work on your pregame festivities for the playoffs. And get rid of your lame, homer announcer. The last two comments are not your fault, but maybe you could light the fuse...

From the looks of some of the responses, I have a feeling that some are being posted by players. To the players, I'm not trying to be a butthole, but you really shouldn't be posting on here. I know that your proud of your team, however, if I were a coach and I heard that players were posting stuff on a board, you would be off the team. Coaches don't want their players posting up any trash talk, Analysis of performance in games, etc. That's why most of your D1 schools have a policy that you can't post up stuff on social media sites (I.e. Facebook twitter, boards like this). You could say someting and in your eyes it's a innocent statement but to someone else, it could piss them off. Now word gets back to the coach, he pissed that a player has aired out things that were told to you in cofidence, and now your off the team over something that could have been prevented.

Just my 2 cents

You make a catch like that with 3 guys on you, you might get the benefit of the doubt...but don't be so naive to think that blown calls/no calls don't affect games...

And please send the clip of his feet being 1 yard out of bounds. You only need one down in HS football
