A Nation Ford victory in that game would make many people question the South Florence and Goose Creek teams. Nation Ford is just not that strong.
To clarify, IF, and I mean IF, Nation Ford were to upset Stratford, then some people might question just how good SF or GC really are......simply using comparative scores against common opponents as the only basis for making an opinion. I never said that Nation Ford would win, nor that I thought they would win. :)

My pickem bracket is posted for all to see and it shows Stratford over Nation Ford :)

As for my opinion of SF and GC, I have not seen SF play, so "no comment" on them. As for GC, I think they are riding a 28 game winning streak, or something close to that. I don't think NW or Greenwood would have beaten them last year. In 2011, NW was totally rebuilding and in 2010, it took a supreme effort to defeat GC.

As for D2, I think it would be considered an upset for either NW or GC to lose before the game in Columbia. That being said, I think I will stick with just being concerned about defeating West Florence this weekend. :)

It is more like 36 games in a row on the field but the record books will not state it due to the forfeit losses from last year.

Yes, the bracket has presented Stratford with an interesting opportunity.

Thanks for clarifying this, my son was wondering how they could say they won 36 consecutive games after last yrs debocle.

Hey guys for clarification purposes, we did not have to forfeit any games last year. The streak right now stands at 37. Once all of the appeals were exhausted and the votes were cast, our punishment was in it's simplest terms was that we were dismissed from the playoffs......the death penalty no matter how you look at it.

According to the Bruce Hulion(Football) of the SCHSL the games were classified as forfeitures and therefore a loss. For every game you have to have a winner and a loser. There is no in between. Where are you seeing otherwise?

NAFO's offense is potent, the QB and TE are a deadly combination, especially on possession downs. QB is smart and doesn't force throws. The NAFO defense is not very good, giving up 60 plus points in back to back weeks. The defense got better when a WR and the TE started going both ways but that WR has been injured and won't return. Fort Mil turned the ball over 4 times last week in a game they probably should've won. A physical team with a solid defense and a balanced offensive attack can beat NAFO.

You are attempting to apply logic and common sense to a political compromise. As I understand it, they didn't classify any of Goose Creek's regular season or the playoff games against Conway and Bluffton as losses-by-forfeit. They just disqualified them from post season play and moved Bluffton into the 3rd round.
