2023 SCHSL Football Playoff Brackets are posted

Lol....you might be right. Alot of football to be played between now and seeding time but I am not fooled by DF's record and would not be surprised to see them still playing football in the latter rounds of the playoffs. If things hold up like I think they may either Summerville or FD will be playing at DF in the 2nd round.

I think FD and DF fans finally got what they all seemed to think was right from seasons past- a Dutch Fork-Fort Dorchester State Championship Game last season. Some good teams in the Lower State as always...the 'Ville, FD, CF, Sumter etc.

Admittedly, very disappointing that last years 4A runner up and what is expected to a repeat appearance is the 4 seed in the bracket guaranteeing only 2 home playoff games. I do anticipate some upsets so we may get four. This assumes we win the region and would end up playing Southpointe in the upper state championship. Long way to go before this all gets sorted out. I still like our chances to take care of business.

The 4A playoff brackets appear to be the same as last year, 2022.

Traditionally, there is a rotation of the regions.

Does anyone have any verification this SCHSL 4A bracket is correct?

It’s different. The winner of our region was not the 4 seed last year. Might have been a 3. Not sure about the region matchups. I didn’t dig that deep.

4A Lower State changed some, but I don't know how much. Last year the 4A-6 champion was the #2 seed, this year they will be the #1 seed.

I sure hope that doesn't change, but I'm hearing things aren't exactly right in 4A upper state. Stay tuned for their quiet, unannounced update in week 8 or 9. Those late changes always blow the #### out of our efforts to do bracket predictions.
