So the South Pointe player bobbled the punt and the Northwestern player picked the ball off in the air? I know the ball didn't hit the ground at all?

This was a very good game. High emotions no doubt. NW just got dominated at the line of scrimmage too many times. This was not the usual SP team. They are not together on the offense side of the ball. NW had chances but did not execute. Will be curious how SP does against Rock Hill. The Rebels are coming to D3 and they appear to a solid team after thumping Greer.

Exactly!
He did "juggle the ball" at which point it was taken. But, he still didn't drop it. Had he dropped the ball - all bets are off! NW ball 1st and goal; but he didn't. You can't even call it a muffed punt. It was more like a bobbled catch that got snatched. Had the NW player allowed the SP player an opportunity to muff it - then the ball gets muffed - it would have been NW ball!

NW and SP will be among the states best by the end of the season! Both teams left plays on the field. Plays that were there just not executed well enough. Once these kids get some game reps under their belts and more practice time; I look for both to be contenders!

NW has a tough schedule and Coach W will have to keep the moral up as they go through some growing pains. But, they will get there!

SP coaching staff much like NW is having to learn each other "particularly on offense"! Co-offensive coordinators means there will have to be some time given for them to work out what works best! I understand that.
I like the size of our OL. They need to get a tad more physical; but they do have good size! Outside of Omega Blake I don't see that clear cut next level player! I do see a team full of really good ball players who need to come together and will with reps!

A couple of solid teams who just need more snaps! They will both be fine this season!

Obviously, you guys know more than I do - but, I was standing with a very seasoned ref on the sidelines for the NW/SP game....He flat said it was a blown call.......I'm just passing on to you what I was told about the call.......
