I agree with you on this! No super star - just a bunch of good players though. I wouldn't necessarily want just a bunch of "just okay" players and no super star. Give me a team where no one player has heads and shoulders distinguished themselves and everybody has a chance to "be the man" by proving it on the field. Those teams (again as long as you do have play makers) are fun and grind harder!

I've seen a super star team grind hard too though - don't want to act like it can't happen or hasn't happened! It's just human nature to lean on the star too much!

As for this game - I managed to see a few clips of WW and yep - athletic team! I just ask the question: will the SP offense keep it simple and just get it in the hands of the players who can make plays? Stallions have more than one so keying on one won't be the issue; but giving Tahleek time to throw it may. He isn't the scrambling threat of a DK; he does a good job of buying time and keeping his eyes downfield though.
Hopefully, both teams start and end the game healthy! Both will be in the playoffs, both will continue to get better one would think!

Westwood? How long have they been around? What schools did their attendance zone affect? Maybe Spring Valley, Richland NE,Ridge View? There getting to be too many new schools!

South Pointe wins this one.

They’ve been a school going on six years now so I wouldn’t say they’re new. Westwood pulls its attendance from Blythewood and some Ridge View kids that live in the Clemson Rd area.

I swear I thought those refs were going to come out and throw a flag on Stallions fans for "opening their car doors too quickly after the game" or something! Good Lawd!

I think WW will end up beating some contender in the playoffs. And, I no longer think they are the 2nd best team in the region, I know they are! RV is just like WW in that they will have big athletic kids; so who knows. They did beat York tonight in York! But, York's missing 6 - 8 kids who transferred to Clover at the end of last year! So, hard to judge that win against the Cougars.
On to Lancaster who I know will want to ruin homecoming for us!

**Good Job Stallions! I will say we need to clean up the penalties though - only half hearted! Some of those were as bogus as they come. The P.I. on O. Blake was just insane and killed a promising drive. Omega stopped caught a jump ball and they called a 15 yard P.I. that basically ended that drive. Oh well! Not a new story for a team that is perceived as the favorite! Sentimental calls and feelings and Rocky and Rudy stories to the "umph-tenth-degree"! Good job pushing through adversity! Not losing your cool though I certainly saw opportunities for it. Get better this week in practice.

Hope your trip went well. I had wanted to see this game but wasn't able to make it. I had hoped to pm you my info so we could get together. Oh well, maybe another time.

In Richland District 2 in Columbia, there are currently 5 high schools. The kids are allowed to attend any school they wish upon approval from the district. If not attending the school they're zoned for, parents are responsible for transportation. The elective classes are generally different at each high school. For example, my son is zoned for RNE. WW has a firefighting class he wanted to attend. Therefore, he was approved to attend WW for that purpose. The thing that hurts these high schools compared to some others in the state is rules by the district. The high school coaches aren't allowed to have any influence/communication with the kids at any of the middle schools or little league. In many areas, the little league and middle schools run the same offense as the high schools. That is the disadvantage for some of these youngsters. When they get together in the 9th grade, they are pooled together with kids they've never played with.
