Again another reason why Charter schools need to be placed into a Open Division with all the the Big Boys! When you have open access to a school and the coach has no restrictions on recruiting players this kind of crap happens.

If this isn't recruiting bringing your QB from your previous school and a D1 prospect I am a monkey's uncle. It isn't a fair competitive advantage for schools that have to follow zoning laws, and he clearly states that he wants to create a IMG style program that does promote recruiting!! How many schools only offer 4 hours of classes a day and the rest of the time is devoted to training? That is not the High School I nor my kids were raised on. Think about it!! The fact this article is out there, the SCHSL knows what he is doing, and they still allow them to compete with normal high schools says a lot.

Slick, feeling aren't hurt but I never coached at Fort D nor in that region so I don't know what happened in that situation. I do know it goes on but I am proud to say in my time of coaching in NEVER happened during my watch knowingly. I suspect it goes on more at the larger more successful schools where parents are looking to get their kids in college. We had a kid whose male parent was prepared to move wanted their son to play a particular position (player ahead of him was better), and apparently they went and talked to a coach in Columbia who had integrity and called us about it. That coach is still one of my dear friends because of that. They told the kid no and go home and work harder. This was a good program too. Some coaches are not going to risk their careers for a parents dream which is what it is a lot of the time.

The HSL is such a clusterfication. They make decisions and could care less the reprecussions.

Andrew's worked hard to win the region and earn the right to play a REAL #4 seed- not a bunch of cheating recruiters. How can that IDIOT say he did not know the rules???? He is not only the coach but the AD- this is a joke and a real stain on an already floundering HSL!
