i agree with you and him, to think if he did move from where he has it made that it would be to a school with an athletics budget $300,000 in the red is a pipe dream.

From reports and comments I’ve seen and heard there already have been “unofficial” inquiries to the Chapman coach regarding a potential move to Gaffney. To his credit, the coach basically ignored the comments and questions and only spoke about Chapman. I am not sure if he is interested in moving.

we are already seeing this in dr falls four months as cherokee county superintendent in decisions such as hiring a new district athletic director.

gaffney high athletics budget deficit was more than $300,000 at the end of the 2018-2019 school year. blacksburg high athletics budget was more than $100,000 in the red.

the fans boycotting the coaching staff and staying home on friday nights and a large majority of people giving up their season tickets that they had had for years. only having one home playoff game in the last six years doesnt help either. i dont see how we are funding other sports with such a budget deficit. it is sad what a once proud football program has become!

Its time to right the ship and make the necessary changes to get us back to where we were but I don't think we will get a big name or big time coach because of the way the school board and others have acted in the past with Strickland and some other coaches

Now this new superintendent is talking about year round school, merging 2 schools together and doing a millage increase to help pay for new schools and other stuff the school district needs
