Oops..Well, he was a darn good quarterback....believe he went to Alabama and transferred to South Carolina...ended up having to quit football, due to a back injury(?).

the Wave offense that year was pretty good.

I remember at the playoff game pregame posters meeting in 2007 that I met GBG’s daddy and he looked just like Big John. Come to think of it, I never did see them at the same place at the same time. :shock: Summerville won the game that night 23-22 (on a late diving TD catch no less, IIRC) to advance to the state championship game. :( It was a long ride home and I had to be at work at 7 that Saturday morning. :x
